This coming summer the International Congress of Infant Studies conference will take place in Ottawa, Canada. The conference theme is aimed at Developmental Cascades. In recent years, researchers have progressed their understanding of connections between behaviors, abilities and processes at multiple levels of analysis (biological, neural, behavioral, environmental, cultural), across different domains (motor, language, social, emotional, etc.), and across time (from prenatal development through early childhood). Such Developmental Cascades continue to explain previously unsuspected causal links and co-dependencies among seemingly dissimilar processes. Carolina, Roseriet, Stefania and Yvonne from our lab are attending the conference to present our research. Additionally, Yvonne was granted the Travel Award worth Canadian $1000! The award was awarded based on scientific merit, taking into account underrepresented minority status and geographical diversity.
