We are looking for a student assistant!

Student assistantship

Research focus
The Developmental Psychobiology Lab, led by Prof. Dr. Carolina de Weerth, investigates how early life – specifically pregnancy and the early postnatal years – influences development throughout the lifespan. Research in the DPB lab focuses on: the influences of prenatal maternal mental wellbeing on children’s health and behavioral development, the development of the physiological stress response system in children and its relation to behavioral and emotional regulation and physical health, and the development of the intestinal microbiota and its relation to children’s developmental outcomes.

The student assistant chosen for this position will mainly carry out home visits to participants to collect materials (e.g., bio samples, head bands for measuring sleep), and then return to the lab to store the data digitally and physically. Additional tasks may include communication with participants, material preparation, data entry, and cleaning and management.
