On the 5th of October, Dr. Stefania Vacaru was invited to give a lecture in Amsterdam about early child social relations. The conference’s theme was Intimacy throughout the lifespan, and Stefania started with the first talk of the day to explain how children form relations in the first years of life starting from attachment relationships with their parents. The talk continued on how these early attachment relationships influence peer relationships from childhood to adulthood. This conference linked together beautifully how social relations change from parent-child in the first years of life, through adolescence, adulthood and in elderly. This was also the first in-person conference post pandemic and as such, it was an amazing opportunity to reconnect with colleagues from Belgium and Amsterdam. The conference was help in a beautiful church and the atmosphere was just elevating!
