We are delighted to share that Beyza Ustun-Elayan, postdoctoral researcher, has been awarded a ZonMw Off Road grant in October 2026!

Beyza is one of 24 researchers selected for this grant, which supports creative and unconventional ideas in biomedical and health research. And a little fun fact: Beyza wrote her successful proposal during our lab’s writing week. A nice reminder that those dedicated writing days really do pay off!

Her project will explore how 4D ultrasound can be used as a tool to support maternal wellbeing and prenatal bonding in pregnant women experiencing severe sickness (hyperemesis gravidarum).
