PuG Conference 2024

Our PhD candidate Nicole Rheinheimer participated in the conference ‘Psychologie und Gehirn’ (PuG) in Hamburg from May 29 to June 1. The PuG conference is organized annually by the German Psychological Society and the Society for Psychophysiology and its Applications. This year’s PuG offered a great variety of topics from neurobiology to clinical psychology as well as application-oriented research.

Next to symposia and keynote talks, a diverse spectrum of studies was presented through over 400 posters. The weather even allowed for a poster session outdoors. During one of the poster sessions, Nicole presented results from her study on the BIBO cohort titled ‘Infant colic and sleeping problems from childhood through adolescence’. On top of that, her poster was one of ten posters that got selected for a Flashtalk, which included a short presentation on the big stage. The conference offered great opportunities to exchange and network, for instance during a junior researcher meeting and a social gathering on a boat in Germany’s ‘Hafencity’.
