Barranquilla was the setting of a worldwide get together of the first nine cohorts of Jacobs Foundation research fellows. The latest chosen cohort shared their research with all the other fellows and Carolina (cohort 2017-2019) was impressed by the ambition, knowledge, and innovation of these researchers. Catching up with each other again after so many years was exciting and inspiring. The fellows participated in the launch of a new program to profoundly improve Colombian education and got a taste of Barranquilla’s music, carnival, food, culture, and warm hospitality.
