Stress-NL 2024

On Thursday 25th of January, our PhD students Evie Brinkman and Nina Bruinhof went to the Stress-NL meeting in Utrecht, an annual conference day in which all Dutch stress researchers come together. Both Evie and Nina gave a short 90 second pitch in which they talked about their research project. Evie pitched her PEPO study, in which she investigates the effects of the introduction of a psychologist in the perinatal care on the mental well-being of women during their perinatal period. Nina pitched her results from the SMILEY cohort about mother-infant stress contagion. She looked at the effect of an acute maternal stressor on maternal caregiving behavior and infant stress response. We were happy to share our studies and hear about all the other stress research that is done in the Netherlands.
