Emotions 2023 Conference

From 4 to 6 October, our PhD student Nicole attended the Emotions conference in Tilburg. This annual conference showcases novel research from various disciplines of emotion research, such as psychiatric and clinical work, child development, and neuroscience. The conference included inspiring keynote speeches, for instance on statistical methods for discrete data by Dr. Aaron Fisher, Emotion processing in Homo and Pan by Dr. Mariska Kret and Emotion Development in a cultural context by Prof. Batja Mesquita.

Additionally, there was a vast program of interesting symposia, talks and posters. During a symposium organized by researchers of the Donders Institute and the Radboudumc, Nicole presented results of a project on the association of early non-parental care with longitudinal development of the cortisol circadian rhythm, and the moderation by room-sharing. It was a very interactive conference with many opportunities to connect with researchers from a broad spectrum of disciplines and backgrounds!
