Rene Genn
My name is Rene, and I am an Intern at the DPB lab. I am currently pursuing a Research Master’s in Cognitive Neuroscience at Radboud University in the Neuroplasticity and Development track. Before starting here, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Radboud University in the domain of Brain and Cognition. My current research focuses on developmental psychobiology, with particular interest in stress responses and birth outcomes. Here, I will look more closely at topics such as epigenetic ageing and telomere length.
For this, I will use the existing data from the BIBO and Smiley longitudinal studies. I am particularly excited about these studies as they have been running for many years and are still ongoing. This makes them great sources for looking into the developmental changes over long periods of time. Therefore, I hope to contribute to the BIBO and Smiley studies and help add to the knowledge that already exists.
