One of our PhD-students, Pamela Browne, has recently been awarded a Young Investigator Award (YIA) by the European Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN)!
The YIA is an award for young investigators to present their research at the ESPGHAN Annual Meeting, this year held in Geneva (Switzerland) from the 10th-12th of May. The annual meeting is a scientific conference for clinicians and researchers to share and exchange knowledge to promote the health of infants and children, with special attention to gastrointestinal diseases and nutrition. At the conference, Pamela will present two studies from our lab. In the first study she evaluated the relation between maternal postnatal psychosocial distress and immune factors in breast milk. In the second study she assessed the association between psychosocial distress and breast milk microbiota. We wish her good luck in Geneva!
