Mie Arnau Martinez
I am a second-year master’s student in Cognitive Neuroscience at Radboud University, with a specialisation in Lifelong Development & Plasticity. As part of my degree, I’m completing my internship and thesis at the Developmental Psychobiology Lab, where I contribute to data collection for the 18-year wave of the BIBO study and assist with the PEPO- and HEALS study.
I am particularly interested in the dynamic interplay between genetics, development, and the environment. For my thesis, I will analyse data from the BIBO study where I will focus on how cortisol dynamics (a hormone linked to stress) over time may influence epigenetic aging, which essentially looks at how stress could affect development and aging at a molecular level.
