I am interested in the intersection of machine learning and pre- and postnatal care, specifically in applying computational frameworks to detect and identify risk factors for infant developmental problems and parental well-being. During my PhD, I will investigate the dynamics of nightly interactions between parents and their newborn over time, and how these patterns relate to parental mental health and infant development. Using machine learning techniques and physiological data collected via wrist-worn wearable sensors, I aim to model and predict parental levels of anxiety, stress, and depression, as well as infant sleep, temperament, and physical health, in both the short and long term.
